Snickerdoodles
1 cup shortening
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Cream together the shortening and sugar; add eggs.
3. Mix in the cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt; mix well.
4. Stir in the flour; form into balls.
5. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar in a cereal bowl.
6. Roll the dough balls in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
7. Place onto ungreased baking sheet (you may wish to flatten slightly).
8. Bake at 400 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.
