French Breakfast Puffs
1/3 c. margarine ½ t. salt
½ c. sugar ¼ t. nutmeg
1 egg ½ c. milk
1 ½ c. flour ½ c. sugar
1 ½ t. baking powder 1 t. cinnamon
1.Preheat oven to 350 ° F.
2.In a mixing bowl, stir together the margarine, sugar, and egg.
3.In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
4.Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture, alternating with ½ c. milk.
5.Fill greased and floured muffin tins 2/3 full.
6.Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20-25 minutes.
7.Immediately roll in melted butter and then the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
